January 2011 Another year starts and decision time again. We will be running here for another year as certain things have to be sorted out before we can move. Part of me is glad and part of me sorry - glad because I love the place and sorry because we want to get on with growing our own foods and our dream of being self sufficient, Hard at work on books and in printing contact sheets of all the pictures taken during the year. The snow has been beautiful to look at though I understand lots of people are fed up with it and I am delighted with pictures I took in the local woods. Closing the cafe now until half term as we keep wasting lots of the lovely cakes we make - or we eat them which is woods.
October 2010 Can't believe it is Winter again. Chaotically busy Summer with two successful exhibitions and Gallery and Cafe full of visitors. Trying to catch up now. See photos of new book above and also new gallery of a selection of works exhibited at The Cloisters Gallery this Summer. Working now on next book for me: A Cuban Diary and for Raul a book which will contain a retrospective of his work and the story of his journey from a farm in Guantanamo Province through Havana and London to Pembrokeshire. Both to launch in March 2011.
Thank everyone for visiting the gallery this Summer - hope to see you again next year. We may be moving on from here but not far away - watch the websites for details (this one and www.raulspeek.co.uk)
Also very early warning but Raul has been given the Cathedral again for next August Bank Holiday (2011) on the Saturday for the second part of his Pembrokeshire Weather Report Concernt. Last time was almost a sell out with very little publicity done so with us starting early to publicize this year please book early to avoid disappointement. (01437 721907)

September 2009 Usually this is a time of slowing down and catching up on all the admin tasks but this year Raul is putting on a concert at St David's Cathedral. It is my favourite piece of music 'Pembrokeshire Weather Report'' and hearing the singer and musicians practice I know it is going to be even better than I expected. It is on the 19th at 7pm so if you are around do come along and hear it. Ring the gallery for more information 01437 721907.
July and August 2009 Part of four person exhibition (ARTicle editorial board) showing in the Tower and Cafe space at Oriel y Parc from 14th July 2009. Go along and enjoy being there as they also house an extensive Graham Sutherland exhibition in their main gallery space and an excellent team of people who can provide you with information and leaflets about the area and what goes on here. Good cafe too. See their website for details http://www.orielyparc.co.uk/ Also had a stand at Haverfordwest Show with Pembrokeshire Tourism which bought forth some unexpected joys and chances. July 2008 Solo Exhibition at the Refectory, St Davids from 1st to 14th July. Title "Travels with my Camera. This exhibition was the result of a long journey in more senses than one. One of my close friends here was dying from cancer and to distract ourselves from the inevitability of this we took a fantasy trip together to the places I dreamed of seeing and never would. The equipment I would like too! When she died I found she had left me the money for both and this exhibition is the end result of that bequest.
January 2008 to June 2008 Gallery closed for building works. We have added Lavender Cafe so that visitors can relax and soak up the atmosphere whilst enjoying home made and mostly local produce. Delicious light lunches and morning/afternoon snacks. During this time I have been travelling in Morocco and working on all the images gathered in the last two years.
